Romanov was the runner up champion in Oldenburg 2002, and is by the multiple champion Rohdiamant, who was approvals and main premium winner in Oldenburg.

Rohdiamant was federal champion twice and is meanwhile competing in Grand Prix under Lisa Wilcox. His damsire Grundstein ll presented succesful international dressage horses and showjumpers of world class level. The ride-ability component is also assured in the third generation through Akzent ll. The bloodlines of Rudilore has produced several stallions over the past years. Rubin Royal (full brother), Conterno Grande, Couleur Rubin, D-Day, Gio Gran-no, Markgraf, Poliac, Tantris and Weltgold. The foundation mare Rudilore ll was an international three-day eventing horse. Romanov passed his 30-days test with 8.7 in dressage and was fouth overall.

Romanov is approved in Denmark and Oldenburg.
